A Consequential Education inspired by a historic place

The enduring legacy of our location in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, means we have a special responsibility to the unfinished work of our time. There are no bystanders here. Our students engage one-on-one with faculty in research and experiential learning across disciplines, from biology and business to chemistry and history, while pursuing their undergraduate bachelor’s degree. At Gettysburg College, problems become purpose, and purpose becomes real, tangible progress.
A proven approach to education for graduate school and career success

Through the Gettysburg Approach, our emphasis on knowledge and enduring skills has proven successful for generations of Gettysburgians. A survey of 200 employers said that Gettysburg graduates possess and outperform their peers in what employers define as must-have career skills. Incoming students who participate in the Guided Pathways can make the most of their time at Gettysburg by connecting their academics and activities with the skills they hope to strengthen. These experiences translate to graduate school and career success: More than 98% of Gettysburg alumni over the past seven years were employed or in graduate school within one year of graduation.
